Djing with a netbook: discoride alpha released

Here's the first released of discoride. Beware !  this is an alpha version, use at your risks, you have been warned. This version heavy uses FMOD library that is not open source.

discoride has been tested only Xubuntu Jaunty on a Samsung nc10.

Setup instructions

get FMOD lib (32 bits) and install it.

install libSDL-1.2, libSDL_gfx, libSDL_ttf-2.0.

get.discoride untar where you want.

Users instructions

open a terminal, go discoride installation folder and run

./go_disco [list of music files or directory containing music files ]

for example, ./go_disco my_music1_file.mp3 my_music_library.mp3

discoride is heavly shortcuts driven (play pause, volume, pan, pitch( fine - coarse), punch, mute, track forward, track backward ...).

Notes


MS Windows portage is in my road map but Linux "embedded" version finalization has higher priority.

Will discoride remain free ?  Basic versions will remain free.

Master tempo is it possible ? I don't know if it's possible ... I will try.

discoride is not able to handle big songs library ( > 300 )
